5 Tips for Sensitive Skin!

Having sensitive skin can be a nightmare if you don’t know how to manage it. Here are a few tips to help keep breakouts and irritation down.

  1. Less is more

If your skin is sensitive, its easily irritated. Which means using too many products can be too much for your skin. You just need to stick to the basics. A gentle cleanser, moisturizer, and non-comedomic sunscreen!

  1. Sunscreen safety

Its essential for people with sensitive skin to wear at least SPF 30 or higher through all seasons to protect their fragile skin from getting irritated by the suns rays. Also finding a sunscreen that contains titanium dioxide or zinc oxide are less likely to cause a reaction because they are physical active ingredients.

  1. Its not just skin deep

You are what you eat! and what you eat shows up on your skin. Having a healthy diet really impacts people with sensitive skin. Staying hydrated and keeping up with your veggies is just one way to avoid breakouts and dry skin. It important to pay attention to how your skin reacts to what you eat, cut out what doesn’t work well with your skin.

  1. Well duh.

Don’t smoke, don’t drink excessively, stay away from stress and get as much sleep as you can! These factors can play a big part in causing aggravation in the skin.

  1. Don’t touch!

Lastly do your best not to touch your face. Your hands can hold chemicals, dirt, oils and harmful bacteria. Keep your skin clear by making sure to keep your hands as clean as possible and not adding any of those pesky irritants to your skin.
